Sur l'album Seven Steps to Heaven, sorti en 1963. (Le 16 avril de l'année 1963 pour la première session d'enregistrement, regroupant les titres Basin Street Blues, I Fall in Love Too Easily, Baby Won't You Please Come Home, et le 14 mai 1963, avec un quintet un peu différend pour les trois derniers titres: Seven Steps to Heaven, So Near, So Far et Joshua.)Avec Miles Davis à la trompette, Victor Feldman au piano, Ron Carter à la contrebasse, George Coleman au saxophone ténor et Frank Butler à la batterie.
