Ella Walker is a 16-year old singer/songwriter from West London. A self-taught guitarist, Ella started writing her own original folk pop songs just over two years ago, making the material she is producing even more incredible bearing in mind the length of time she’s been writing.
Her musical influences include, among others, Laura Marling, Mumford & Sons, Daughter and Ben Howard, elements of which can be found in many of her songs. The absolutely beautiful 'Little Picture' tells the simple story of an abandoned house across the street from where she lives. The minimal orchestration allows the listener to really focus on the poetic lyrics and absorb the tale of the house with "ivy in its mouth".
It's clear that Ella has a real talent for writing incredibly touching songs full of emotion. This is apparent in the recent rerecord of her song ‘Birds’, originally written over two years ago.
You can find her gigging in some of London's up and coming venues, trying to make an impression in the capital's ever evolving music scene. For all her latest shows, be sure to check out the events section of her Facebook page. We are pleased to offer a brand new recording of 'Dusty Bones' as an exclusive free download so head over to www.soundsearch.co.uk and download it now. Enjoy!
