I just love the intensity in this one...

The finale to the highly under-rated (and misunderstood) movie by Darren Aronofsky, The Fountain (2006). Soundtrack is an awesome collaboration between Clint Mansell (definitely my favourite film music composer), Kronos Quartet, and Mogwai.

Enthralling intro to "Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will", out in 2011. Saw them live in Paris at the time, really music that stirs something in you, no matter how insanely loud they revel in playing it...

I've started looking into post-rock a bit more, and past the classics like Mogwai, Sigur Ros, and 65 Days of Static. Here's a pretty neat track I found...

I love this dude's stuff.
Especially his latest album, A Colour Map of the Sun, where he went through the adventure of recording his samples himself with session musicians, and then passing all of it through analog synths to get exactly the sound he had in his head.
Big respect.
